01 - In a large mixing bowl, combine sweetened shredded coconut, powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir thoroughly until a sticky, uniform mixture forms.
02 - Using clean hands or a small cookie scoop, roll approximately 1 tablespoon of the mixture into a ball. Continue shaping until all of the mixture has been used.
03 - Place the unsweetened shredded coconut and additional powdered sugar, if desired, in a shallow dish. Roll each coconut ball in the coating until evenly covered.
04 - Arrange the coconut tails on a parchment-lined tray. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to achieve optimal texture.
