Greek Yogurt Parfait Layers (Printable Version)

Creamy yogurt layered with fresh berries and crunchy granola

# What You Need:

→ Dairy

01 - 2 cups plain Greek yogurt

→ Fruit

02 - 1 cup mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)

→ Sweeteners

03 - 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup

→ Grains

04 - 1 cup granola

→ Extras

05 - 2 tbsp chopped nuts (almonds or walnuts)
06 - 1 tbsp chia seeds
07 - Zest of 1 lemon

# How-To:

01 - Wash berries thoroughly and gently pat dry with paper towels. Hull and slice strawberries into quarters, leaving smaller berries whole.
02 - Spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of Greek yogurt into the bottom of each of four clear parfait glasses or jars, spreading evenly.
03 - Drizzle a small amount of honey or maple syrup over the yogurt layer in each glass.
04 - Distribute a handful of mixed berries across the yogurt layer in each glass, pressing gently to settle.
05 - Sprinkle 2 to 3 tablespoons of granola over the berry layer in each glass.
06 - Repeat the layering process—yogurt, sweetener, berries, granola—until glasses are filled to within half inch of rim.
07 - Top each parfait with remaining granola, chopped nuts, chia seeds, and fresh lemon zest if using.
08 - Serve immediately for optimal granola crunch, or refrigerate for 15 to 30 minutes for softened texture.

# Expert Hints:

01 -
  • Comes together in under ten minutes but looks like you actually tried
  • The texture contrast of cold creamy yogurt against crunchy granola is absurdly satisfying
  • You can prep everything the night before and assemble while your coffee brews
02 -
  • Assembly order actually matters, but not for the reason you might think, layering everything in the same sequence keeps the texture consistent from top to bottom
  • Room temperature yogurt works better than cold straight from the fridge, it mixes more easily with the honey and creates silkier layers
  • Clear glasses are not just for presentation, seeing the layers makes people more excited about eating something they could have made themselves
03 -
  • Buy yogurt in the large tub instead of individual cups, it's usually thicker and you control the portions
  • Toss your berries in a teaspoon of sugar or honey before layering if they're not quite ripe enough
  • Keep your granola in a sealed container so it stays crunchy between uses
